When You Build With Golden Homes, We’re With You Every Step of the Way
Below is our step by step process:
1. First Steps
Walk through one of our showhomes to see what we can offer. Choose your site, compile your wishlist and talk us through your budget.
2. House Plans
Select your house plan from our range or opt to design your own. We will provide a scheme plan and quote detailing your wish list. Pre-construction payment is then required to obtain necessary reports and consenting documentation.
3. Specifications
Choose your colour scheme, kitchen design and electrical requirements with our team. Approve your concept plan which will include the position of your house on its site, earthworks, retaining walls, driveway and drainage.
4. Consents & Contracts
Project Information Memorandum (PIM) is the first stage of your building consent identifying district plan requirements – our team will deal with this. Sign your building contract, then we will codemark working drawings (6 week process). Building consent will then be issued.
5. Building
Your construction manager will discuss construction with you and be able to answer any questions you have throughout the whole build process. They will also discuss progress payments that will be detailed in your building contract.
6. Handover of your new Golden Home
An exciting day as you receive the keys to your gorgeous new Golden Home! The handover process starts with the council sign-off and your code of compliance certificate is issued. Your construction manager and sales-person will discuss with you the handover process before and on the day you receive your keys.
