Who lives here?
Stephanie & James Clark, their daughters Dayna (15), Gemma (13) and a very playful pup, Pippi.
"The design and layout were really important to us. We wanted spaces that we could all use separately, yet still feel connected at the same time.
Every room has been designed to open onto the other; the use of glass and our double-sided fireplace all help to achieve that. Someone can be in the kitchen and another in either living area and we can always see what each other is doing.
We hosted 24 people on Christmas day and were so impressed with the functionality of the design, everything seemed to work so well.
Even though we had a lot going on, the layout meant it felt really comfortable and spacious.
Golden Homes really helped us achieve the vision we had for this home."
Life in our Golden Home
"We built this home knowing we are a growing family, the girls are mid-teens so we made sure that they had good sized double bedrooms, which are great for when they have their friends to stay.
It was important to us that we had spaces that were really practical, simple ideas like having heated towel rails in the laundry, as both the girls are water polo players, make our daily lifestyle that little bit easier.
Golden Homes made sure we could bring our ideas to life and we never felt like anything was ever a problem."
Design and Colour Scheme
"The setting is one of the main features of the house so we wanted a colour scheme to compliment the outlook; as the house opens out onto a reserve we kept the colour palette earthy, yet modern and inviting.
The use of mixed cladding – linear, schist and honed brick – create a unique look and also adds great texture. We think it works really well with the setting and love how low maintenance it is!”
We are so impressed with the quality and finish. We really can’t fault it."
Building with Golden Homes
"This is our second build with Golden Homes. We were confident going into the build as everything seems to flow seamlessly. We felt happy leaving the Golden Homes team to it."
